Der in Neapel geborene Künstler Riva Starr arbeitet für ‚This Is The Sound‘ mit der New Yorker DJ und Produzenten-Legende Todd Terry zusammen. Zuvor haben die beiden bereits gegenseitig ihre Soloproduktionen geremixt, jetzt releasen sie zum ersten Mal auf Hot Creations.
Riva Starr über die Zusammenarbeit: „Todd ist eine Inspiration seit meinen ersten Schritten in der House-Musik“, sagt er. „Mit dieser EP wollte ich einfach ein paar der frühen House-Vibes mit einem modernen Twist wieder aufleben lassen. Es fühlt sich gut an, mit einer solchen Legende zusammenarbeiten zu können!“
Die beiden haben einen Track kreiert, der alle klassischen Elemente der House-Musik enthält: eine funky, wummernde Basslinie, knackige Hi-Hats, Retro-Claps, Synthies und einige Conga-ähnliche Drums im Hintergrund.

Naples-born artist Riva Starr collaborates with New York DJ and producer legend Todd Terry for ‚This Is The Sound‘. The two have previously remixed each other’s solo productions, and now they are releasing on Hot Creations for the first time.
Riva Starr on the collaboration: „Todd has been an inspiration since my first steps in house music,“ he says. „With this EP, I just wanted to revive some of the early house vibes with a modern twist. It feels good to be able to collaborate with such a legend!“
The pair have created a track that has all the classic elements of house music: a funky, booming bass line, crunchy hi-hats, retro claps, synths and some conga-like drums in the background.
