Jimi Jules und TRI/XON, das Projekt von Trikk und Dixon, veröffentlichen heute „Looking For You“ bei Innervisions. Die Single schlägt eine Brücke zwischen elektronischer Clubmusik und rohem Rock ’n’ Roll. Ein verzerrter Bass-Riff, scharfe Synthesizer und punkig angehauchte Vocals tragen den Track.
Dabei pendelt er zwischen Spannung und Entladung. Er klingt laut, direkt und kompromisslos körperlich. Auf unnötigen Hochglanz verzichten die drei Künstler bewusst, denn sie schieben ihren Sound irgendwo zwischen Elektronik und Rock. Das Artwork stammt von Trevor Jackson, gemastert hat Marcelo bei Dub On Audio. Mit seiner rauen Kante funktioniert „Looking For You“ im Club genauso wie auf einer Livebühne.

Jimi Jules and TRI/XON, the project of Trikk and Dixon, release “Looking For You” on Innervisions today. The single bridges electronic club music and raw rock ’n’ roll. A distorted bass riff, sharp synths and punk-infused vocals drive the track.
It swings between tension and release, yet it never loses its bite. The result is loud, direct and unapologetically physical. The three artists skip the unnecessary polish on purpose, because they want their sound to sit somewhere between electronic music and rock. Trevor Jackson designed the artwork, and Marcelo at Dub On Audio handled the mastering. With its rough edge, “Looking For You” belongs on a club system and on a live stage alike.
